What a body needs ...

Every day i see posts or news stories from people who are sick and have been medically damaged by doctors. People are lost. Unsure of where to turn. They get confused by the many opinions of what is good for a body and what is not. Some go in every different direction just trying to feel good.

We have been told that our illness is part of aging (weight gain, aching muscles, aching joints,unexplained pain, brain fog) or that we are depressed(depression hurts, yeah it hurts cause it's screaming yer body is sick!), or that "insert chronic illness" can be controlled (Asthma, Diabetes, a hundred others).

We are told this constantly not only in the doctors office but in our homes as we are bombarded with commercials which tells us about Advair and Pristiq or Celebrix or so many others. They buy alot of air time. All these bright cheery commercials pushing a pill on you that will not cure you. A pill that will give you some side effects, some not so pleasant. A pill that just might kill you (it's in the fine print). Pills that can and do make you sicker because the real problem is ignored.

It is nothing short of genocide to a healthy life what these drug companies and doctors have done and are doing to the human race. 100 years of medical chaos.

So much misinformation. So many lies.

Reversing chaos is rather easy to do. I sometimes want to scream "it doesnt have to be that way!" when people tell me their loved one is dying from cancer (but its all a part of life or aging), or the frustration of a stranger whose grandma has slipped into dementia interferring with daily life Or the friend who can no longer handle life but her doctor has a new drug.

In all these cases these people listen to their doctors. The doctors who are killing not only our bodies but our quality of life.

I can relate to a sick body not doing what i want it to do. I can relate to a boy whose autistic body makes it impossible for him to control the need for sameness. Bodies in such a state of vitamin and mineral deficiency that chaos reigns supreme.

Reversing chaos for some comes swiftly with Iodine consumption. Depression lifts almost immediately. Energy levels increase. Cold or flu like symptoms occur for about a week as the body is finally eliminating virus and bacteria that have lived within for years. Severely damaged people may have adrenal or liver issues. Addressing these issues and finding the right balance is important but not rocket science. What a body needs.

What a body needs is not to be found in the doctors office or in medical commercials. What a body needs is a balance of Iodine, Vitamins and other minerals. Natural Sea Salt. Pure Water. Food that is high fat, lots of protein (chicken,eggs, 2% milk), veggies(potatoes are not a veg), fruit, low carb, low to zero grains, apple juice (or malic acid), no soy, no GMO, probiotic yogurt, potassium/calcium rich food. Throw in some stretching, dancing or other semi strenuous activity and chaos is eliminated.

Simple as that. Maybe not so simple at first for the chaotic mind with a sick body or one that has been lead to believe the answer is more complicated or has difficulty remembering what was for breakfast, or believes that doctors are gods. Once begun half done. Where do i remember that from? Sums it up pretty good. Have faith to start. Shed the doubts. Once begun the effects almost always enliven the body fairly fast. The body knows what's been missing and screams a big YESSS! Half done.

A link to my chaos ending list is at the end if this blog. The cure to chaos. I feel the things on this list with a few exceptions are mandatory. It takes all of them to find balance. A body in balance doesn't have chronic illness or allergies or cancer. The body in balance isn't overweight or depressed.

The only optional things on my list are the types of supplements and enzymes. I have found the best, lowest cost of the brands I prefer with the least fillers or bad ingredients. The type of magnesium or Vitamin C or B vitamins is optional. I do feel better using several kinds of some such as C and Magnesium, but that could just be me and my quirks. I feel enzymes are important for the severely damaged (like me!), perhaps not so important for those with less damage. They are worth the cost in my opinion as years of iodine deficiency most certainly has created enzyme deficiency. Non flouride toothpaste is optional but keep in mind that flouride bounces iodine off receptors, a very bad thing (only one of the horrible things flouride does to a body). Each person's list can be slightly different. I am providing mine to have a beginning, a concise template to a balanced body. Included is a table of when i take what, another visual aide to see how it's done!

Iodine is the most important item on the list. Small amounts of iodine will effect change. High dosages of Iodine require higher dosages of vitamins, minerals and natural salt.

I am willing to answer questions if asked. Or there are several Iodine Yahoo groups with people following the Iodine protocol and finding health. Google or Yahoo Group search of Iodine leads to an abundance of knowledgable people willing to help.

Good health can find you once begun. It may take a few months or a few years, but it will find you. Chaos eliminated.

The Art of Self Medicine

I read something today about self medicine and art. It was quite good.

And now today, 2 days later of writing that first sentence before having life interrupted by a virus i have more to add.

Yesterday was a difficult day. Gerald is home for spring break and brought home a nice bug with him. It was pretty bad for him. We ended up going to the doctor, 45 miles away. On the way back for the first time in about 21 years, i got stopped by a police officer. I was going too slow. Way too slow. I knew it. I was tired, it was dark. The cop said i was suppose to pull over to let a person pass. I said i was doing pretty good till someone gets up on my butt with their bright lights and it freaks me out. He said he was at a safe following distance. I dont think so. He was very nice tho.

Going to the doctor is a bit surreal for me. It's about surrendering to what i know is a totally wrong approach to health. I think it comes from being brainwashed since birth that doctors and hospitals can fix you. My logical mind, after many years of research into this matter knows they do more harm than good. But the lure of a quick fix or the magic pills and the worry of a mom for her obviously sick child takes over. Or it's my vaccine damaged broken adrenals ;-)

Gerald was doing much better after a day of increased iodine drops and gargles along with epsom salt, baking soda and tea tree oil foot baths. But as evening set in so does the panic. The previous night had been fairly horrible. His throat hurt severely and it was inflamed. The inflamation had gone down remarkedly during the day of intense iodine regimine but the pain remained. And living in isolation far from a competent medical facility makes the night time hours of illness even more scary.

The thought of another night of not knowing how bad it was bothered both of us. So we went on the adventure thru the mountains into the city to find the cure. Was a nice easy drive on a sunny day.

The doctor didnt want to rx an antibiotic because the rapid strep was negative. Fever of 99. Tho nn the same breath she said the rapid strep test was only for one strain. Arent there millions if not thousands of strains? The other test for all those other strains would take 3 to 4 days to obtain results and so shouldnt start antibiotics till then. Ok i get that docs rx antibiotics way too much but is it safe to just let bacteria cook for days with no intervention if they just dont know? Shouldnt a doc know? We are lead to believe they should know. We are scared into believing.

So why did i go there, thinking this doc would help? Granted there are docs that might take the time to know what the patient was really dealing with. Didnt happen on this night. There are docs that might take the time to give a nebulizer treatment because they would know that nebulized magnesium sulfate has hundreds of efficiacy and saftey studies making it the ideal treatment for asthmatic and bronchial conditions (something gerald has had on occassion) but there was no mention of that. Just an albuterol inhaler and go home and await the results. Eat a BRAT diet and give em a call back. I had no idea what BRAT was.

Bout like torture. So i convinced at least for the script. After all, that was why i made the drive. And Gerald's peace of mind.

I think we have all been conditioned that we can't heal ourselves. That self medicine is not wise or proper. I could see it in the face of the doctor when i questioned her logic. I dont normally fall into the medical society trap anymore. I have learned thru research and practice that i can heal myself. And what began as story about what i had read about self medicine as an artform digressed into lack of faith in that art.

Finding the right balance of vitamins and minerals can be difficult for some. It can be more difficult than relying on a doctor and magic pills. The same way creating jewelry or paintings can be for others. After years of the damage imposed on our bodies by modern medicine some of us might need more art than others.

Great masterpieces can take years of intense work to become perfect. I have one jewel creation that i have been working on for more than a year. It hangs before my eyes each time i create and not yet complete. I have rearranged the materials a few times and rehang it because it just not "finished" And that is similiar to my own body. And yours.

With vitamins and minerals; iodine, magnesium, selenium,potassium; sea salt and protein, good clean water and with a little bit of sculpting (exercise) you have the wonderous array of materials for the art of self medicine.

The art of self medicine has been forgotten. Shamed. We have been made to feel we cannot take control of our own health. And most will live their lives that way. Not even truly living because life gets interrupted by virus and bacteria our bodies could defend against if that art hadn't been taken away.

I suppose it is easier to let doctors be the sculptors of our bodies. But what their art leaves us with is not health. They really do more harm than good, it's true, believe it. They leave literally half of us with chronic illness. They leave people with bodies that can't get out of bed, bodies that weep for no other reason than mineral deficiencies they won't tell you about but they have a nice new untested expensive pill with minor side effects (for most) that will make your body forget it needs that mineral. And lead to the next pill...

Their art is sick bodies that have constant pain or they cut and take junks of another's creation they know nothing about.

Their art leads you to believe you cannot be your own artist. As it has done to me in the past and still did yesterday. I didnt have faith in my materials, even as the evidence was showing they were working. So perhaps the difference between their art and the art of self medicine, aside from their coercion, is a faith in the natural substances our bodies need or the manufactured manmade materials they call art.

Self medicine with the basic materials listed above to form and sculpt a healthy specimen and you can see the true path to health. Your body, your own personal artform, is left to you. No one else.

Find your palatte. It's not rocket science. It is an artform, indulged in for a lifetime. The reward is a masterpiece of creation capable of enjoying life not merely exsisting in it.

Iodine Deficient Idols

I watched American Idol last night and as usual i see sick people. Kinda like in the movie when the boy says "I see dead people". It has the same unnerving effect I'm sure.

Crystal Bowersox is a very talented girl. Probably one of the few who will go on to lasting stardom on this seasons Idol. I suppose any season is going to pale after last season and the phenomenom of Adam Lambert, but i digress.

The girl appeared sick. I can imagine the stress of the evening is ruff on even the healthiest of people but it will really take a toll on an iodine deficient adrenal fatigued diabetic.

I can tell, as she has said, she is a tuff cookie. For the person that doesnt see "sick people" everywhere one might not see the intensity of her illness. But i saw it. It was heartwrenching. And so unnecessary.

Even scarier is that she will probably get the "best medical care" that money has to offer at this point, which just might kill her. Or might impede her ability to reach that star. I would hope that she could find a good iodine doc or her own path to health. I tend to wish that for everyone tho, not just Idols.

Thinking about Idol and others who have won or left their impressions i think of Kelly Clarkson and Jordin Sparks. Both obviously (to me) iodine deficient/thyroid damaged and probably not headed in the right direction for a cure either.

I find it extremely sad that there are so many that entertain me that are so sick. Most dont even realize that the path to health is not rocket science. Sure it takes a little work, more for the severely damaged (such as myself) but starting that path today and making it part of your life every day will slowly but surely heal anyone.

It wont happen overnight, unlike the Medical Society's philosophy of overnight recovery, there is no quick cure to health. We have been iodine deficient our entire lives and the damage that has created takes time to fix.

Starts with one drop. A few companion vitamins and minerals. Good food. Clean Water. Natural Salt. The severely damaged, such as the next American Idol Crystal, or Idols Kelly and Jordin, it will take some additional thyroid, adrenal and enzyme support.

There needs to be some awakening in the worlds population. The path to health is not in the promises of the Medical Society, but in the promise of replensishing what the body needs.

And these Idols need Iodine.

It's hard to imagine how people can be so ignorant about something so bad for us. Flouride is bad people. It's bad for your kids. It's not what helps teeth. Magnesium supplementation will do more for human teeth than any other thing you can possibly do!

Flouride in toothpaste is such a baddd thing! (Notice if a child eats a pea size call poison control?) A daily poison. And doctors are prescribing it for your child!

The new DSM

I saw this article today, written by one of it's own (psychiatrists, creators of the DSM or The manual, prepared by the American Psychiatric Assn., psychiatry's

"normal.") and thought how their new classifications convert the physiological to psychological.

This is a good article in it has some very telling statements.

The author doesnt acknowledge that these new "disorders" are directly related to biological function. Its not in the mind people! Its in the body! Its Iodine deficiency being magnified in a hundred different directions causing these disorders!

Her statement "expected memory problems of aging" ? This is why so many people think that memory problems with aging is normal. It's not. Memory issues are just one of the many symptoms of a sick body that these "experts" and the author pass off as aging.

Or Normal.

Another quote:
"If requirements for diagnosing a mental disorder are too stringent, some who need help will be left out; but if they are too loose, normal people will receive
unnecessary, expensive and sometimes quite harmful treatment."

That statement includes everyone ever diagnosed with the DSM.No, the author doesnt mean everyone, she is only speaking of a hypothetical few when she actually means everyone!

The depressed who are never tested for iodine deficiency but are given a whole lot of pharmaceuticals cause they fit the DSM. The only mental thing wrong here is listening to these experts.

They all need to be charged with medical malpractice. As the author noted these doctors have their own agendas. Well these agendas are killing people or making life miserable.

It's just so needless. These rash of suicides are another statement to the fact that the DSM is so wrong. People go to these doctors feeling depressed, sad, anxious, cant function and these docs tell em its in their mind and give em a pill or some mental therapy when if they looked a little deeper, without these agendas, they would see a body that is sick. They would see the biological problems within the body creating each and every one of their DSMs!

Its really very simple people. Its called Iodine deficiency.

The iodine deficiency leads to many if not all body functions being out of whack. For some they feel sad. For others they feel anxious. Some overeat trying to get the vitamins and minerals their bodies need but the iodine deficient body cant assimilate. The longer the person is iodine deficient the worse they become. Or how about those with "Hypersexuality disorder" (is that really a new DSM?) criteria being they they want sex too much? Or is it really, a person cant control their iodine deficient bodies' hormonal dysfunction. Hormones arent functionging properly! Its in the sex orgns people! Its not in the mind! The person that cant control behavior wont find the answer in the DSM. Or the myriad of pills the DSM prescribes. The list of their symptoms is really endless, depending on the doctor, and their answers are rarely true. The answer is iodine.

It doesnt have to be that way. If everyone questioned the DSM, if everyone asked "what causes these symptoms" instead of accepting the DSM as gospel.It would change. They, pscyhs, will tell you they dont know what causes most of their criteria(symptoms) for diagnoses. Or that some mysterious occurance triggered latent memories from the past or its part of aging or its Normal.

They are wrong. Simple as that. Iodine supplementation, along with the necessary vitamins and minerals to correct the damage(magnesium, Seleium, unrefined salt, Vitamin C, B vitamins) will eliminate all those DSM symptoms.

Got DSM? Try iodine instead of pills, lose the criteria. Forever.

Medical Society Casualties

I saw this quote yesterday:

"It's not just about shortening your life if you do nothing -- it is
about losing your life to illness & disability long before you
actually die."

I have been "reading" the person that said this quote since joining the Iodine group. Just a regular person who had the courage to go against the medical society, who tries to help others and has a lot of knowldege and first hand experience. Priceless.

The quote made me think about how I see illness. It is difficult for me to see a person without seeing what is wrong with them now. And that is the point of this post. Every where i look are sick people. They put their faith in the medical society and just look at them. Next time you walk thru Walmart or the mall, really look at the people. Look at the children. How many healthy people do you see? Can you see it? We have been conditioned to believe all these signs of illness are normal. We are conditioned to believe we are healthy and we are not.

There are millions of people that spend their last 20 to 30 years of their life barely able to move or get out of bed or off the couch and their doctors tell them its what happens with age. And we believe.

I have had friends that put their faith in the medical society to varying and extreme outcomes. Each an example of medical society casualties.

Like the person that starts putting on weight, anxiety sets in, constant illness, pain in joints, elsewhere. Panic Attacks. Pills, not nutrition or iodine are prescribed that worsen the state of an already ill body. Doc prescribes Synthroid (a substance rxd to millions that should be on the top 10 list to avoid like the plauge) and anti depressents and a myriad of other drugs and little by little i see them drown.

Or the person who has been told they are bipolar and doesnt get what they are is iodine deficient which has led to a complete body imbalance of nutrients and minerals. Doc prescribes anti depressents and a myriad of other drugs never addressing the iodine deficiency nor the thyroid and adrenal imbalance and i see them drown.

Or the person who has suffered their entire life with depression, anxiety, inability to lose weight,constant illness, arthritis and still cant let go of the medical society ways and i have watched them drown.

Or the person with constant sinus problems, weight gain, apnea, no energy, depression who still believes the medical society is the place to heal.

And as we are medical society casualties so too are our children. Our babies, who because of our untreated conditions and who have been injected with thyroid antibody inducing toxins in the name of vaccines, cant excrete metals, have holes in their intestines and diabetes and uncontrollable fungus and yeast and parasites, hundreds of symptoms and illness and i have watched them drown.

Drowning in a sea of godlike men and women (doctors) guiding them to a slow and painful death. A life lived without ever being healthy. The end days slowly and steadily lost to illness and disability. Those are the living medical society casualties.

They have been my friends, my family or people i see in my little town or at Walmart. They are everywhere around us. People living life without really living at all. Existing. Dreading the next day. Unable to get out of bed or off the couch, not by choice but by condition.

I was a medical society casualty for my first 45 years. It is hard to let go. Hard not to believe they know how to fix us even when the proof is everywhere around us. The path to health starts with us. Becoming healthy and living a full, feel good every day life is within each of us.

If every person gave up the Medical Society doctors in exchange for true healers, physicians that listen to their patients, docs that treat symptoms with nutrition (vitamins, minerals, protein, water, salt, natural supplements) rather than pharmacueticals, we might see an end to the medical society casualties.

True, there arent many real healers out there. But the number is growing. Docs that have disgarded what they were ingrained with in medical school. Docs who look at eliminating causes rather than treating or masking symptoms. If you cant take control of your own health, as i and many others have (it can be done!), then at least let go of a doc that will only make you a casualty of its medical society. Seek out a natural doc who has the power to help you restore your health and eliminate all those sick, anxiety or depression or tired or "age" symptoms. Forever.

I have let go of the Medical Society, i am no longer a casualty, and it feels sooo good!

Modern Medicine Is Depressing

I read alot of the experiences of people on various health groups and one thing seems to be typical. Most docs really dont have a clue about health.

They know alot about symptoms and which pill to give, what test to run...so they know which pill to give. Yet they know bascially nothing about how the body works and what causes the symptoms.

If their medical schools taught how the body really functions, every doctor on the planet would know about the importance of iodine. One cannot possibly exclude the other. Iodine is used by every single process within our bodies. Every hormonal function is determined by Iodine. Every vitamin and mineral regulated by Iodine. So why is it that most doctors learned to fear iodine in their schooling and never test for Iodine deficiency?

A few never even test for thyroid problems. There are millions of men women and children whose thyroids are being slowly destroyed because their doctors arent testing for iodine deficiency. Same with Adrenals.

There are millions of depressed people because their doctors dont test for iodine deficiency.

Undiagnosed iodine deficiency and thyroid imbalance start a chain reaction of symptoms or as the medical society like to call it, disease. Some are born deficient, starting life within an iodine deficient mother.

There is a slow but growing trend among medical society doctors to prescribe iodine. Even an upward usage of iodine by naturpathic physicians to use more(perhaps because natural docs tend to listen to their patients body and current science rather than what they learn in school or from the pharm reps).

Yet we still have the very biggest percentage of doctors will never test for iodine deficiency. They will wait years to test your thyroid function, if they ever do at all. Most docs will attribute depression to the need of a pill. Or talk it out. Like you can talk out the proteins leaving your intestines going straight to your brain effecting your neurotransmitters or the lack of iodine depleting magnesium, but the pill will hide your symptoms if you just wanna feel better today ;-)

They will attribute weight gain with overeating. Never mind that that overeating is probably a form of PICA, the need to eat mass quantity of food to get miniscule amounts of vitamins and minerals with the inability to break down fats. Or, there are those that eat 1200 calories and still gain weight and cant figure out why cause their docs dont test for the cause (iodine deficiency).

They will attribute your high blood pressure to overeating or stress or table salt and they have a pill to fix it. Except they arent really fixing it, just masking one of the many signs of iodine deficiency.

Reading about every day people on the health groups, several thousands of them, the life they have lead till now, putting their faith in doctors is just really depressing. Then there are the people prominent in the media who also suffer the fate of the revered medical society. Vivid images in my mind of iodine deficiency and medical harm.

I have list of the most famous iodine deficient people floating in my head. Oprah is probably the most famous. Vincent D'Onofrio is one that i find the saddest cause he is one of my favorite actors and is obviously struggling with health issues related to iodine deficiency and thyroid problems. Brendan Fraser. Elizabeth Taylor. So many iodine deficient faces in our every day life.

The other day i saw a picture of Roger Ebert and added him to my list.I felt much sadness for what that man has obviously gone thru. The image left an even sadder thought that he is not alone, just one image of the many millions of others. He is now one of Hollywood's poster children for the unecessary damage the Medical Society can inflict.

I use to watch Siskel and Eberts movie reviews, liked the content of their show. Mr. Siskel was an iodine deficient casulty. Mr. Ebert showed signs of iodine deficiency and thyroid disorder long before he got to the point of that shocking image i saw. How did his doctors miss that ?

Perhaps because doctors dont routinely test for Iodine deficiency. Years of deficiency leads to thyroid problems. Which lead to glandular damage and thyroid death (cancer). Years of iodine deficiency leads to vitamin and mineral depletion which create more symptoms("disease").

So they cut out his thyroid. Big mistake. First they gave him cancer inducing radioactive iodine just to take pictures of the thyroid(RAI). Then they cut out the one thing that was trying to keep cancer from growing in other places. Like his jaw. Or as other docs theorize cutting into the mass of cancer cells creates a massive exodous to other parts. Cause cancer is a fungus or mass of viral bacteria colony or an explosion of unchecked growth(depends on who you ask). Cancer, or fungus, starts small, insiduously growing, lurking. The level of iodine deficiency and the damage that deficiency has caused will determine the level and pace of growth. But the very first mistake that is always made is not either supplementing iodine or testing for iodine deficiency. Cause everyone is deficient. Ok there might be a 1% of the population that isnt but hey we dont know cause they dont test!

Its a mistake that 99% of doctors make daily. And the images all around us of modern medicines biggest mistake, intentional or not, continually seeing these iodine deficient images is sad.

The stories of people who finally find the solution, iodine sufficiency and vitamin and mineral supplementation to fix the years of damage, changes the image and the feelings to health and happiness.

Iodine. Really is that simple.

Ask your doctor, "Am I Iodine Deficient, Can you Test for Iodine Deficiency?" His, or her response will give you a clue how to proceed. Anything other than yes is sign to question. If cutting anything out is suggested, run and dont look back ...

The way doctors cut things out is one of my worst nightmarish thoughts and one of my next blog topics. But now, Off to make jewels while the sun warms up the day then finishing cleaning my pool from its wintery mess.

Another Lie, "Iodine Is Carcogenic"

I read a post the other day about someones friend warning her against taking iodine. This person told her Iodine was carcogenic.

The really sad thing about this story is not that someone actually thought Iodine was a carcinogen. It's not. Iodine is the one thing on the planet that will save you from every other carcinogen. In a perfect world, with everyone iodine sufficient, there might not have ever been a need for the word carcinogen.

The terribly sad thing about this false warning about Iodine is that the person making the statement is a newly graduated NURSE! It is extremely scary to me that new nursing graduates have the false belief that Iodine is a carcinogen.

Where did she get this information? Did her professors suggest Iodine was a carcinogen? Or did she come up with this notion all by herself?

Or perhaps her ignorance was speaking of the Medicals Society misuse of Iodine in various forms? Endocrinologist use RAI (radioactive iodine) a form of Iodine, daily. Which is one of the worse things anyone could do to their bodies! Millions have it done and it's just stupid! The Medical Society make alot of money on that one tho.

Or perhaps the nurse is confusing Iodine with Methyl Iodide. A proven carcinogen that one.

Nursing programs are doing a disservice to its students if this is a Nurse's mindset.

The fear of Iodine needs to be dispelled. There is pandemic Iodine deficiency. People are dying from disease that Iodine would cure. People are living with chronic illess that Iodine will cure. If the worlds' people were given Iodine with the necessary vitamins, minerals, salt, water and protein the Medical Society would crumble. Replaced by a healthy society. An Iodine sufficient society. Might take 100 years. Might take 200. You cant undue what has been done to us overnight. I can imagine it happening. But that is just my optimistic dream. Grim reality is there might be too much at stake, too many trillions of dollars, to create a healthy society. They have the power and money to suppress it, to take it away.

There is hope for some of us tho. The people that dont follow blindly. That have faith in not what they are told but what they see. That know the truth. A few brave doctors that go against their Medical Society are documenting the proof. It's only a matter of time before each of us convince a few more, that tell their friends, that change the world.

Pres. Clintons's cardiologist is Dr. Allan Schwartz at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Schwartz emphasized heart disease "is a chronic condition. We don't have a cure for this condition, but we have excellent treatments."

"Excellent Treatments"... It would be funny if it werent so sad. Yeah they have excellent treatments. Which do nothing to treat the cause or cure the problem. Their treatments might hide the symptom, all the while creating new and exciting damage, such as arteries with plaque.

Unlike what Swartz says, Clinton could have been given magnesium for his high blood pressure many years ago instead of the other problem causing drugs he was given. He has probably had every drug money can buy and yet his own specialist says he cant cure him. His heart disease can be traced back to what he shares with almost every other American. Iodine deficiency.

I believe I could cure Clinton. So could many of the Naturapathic Docs in this country. But he, like so many others put their faith in the wrong medicine.

There are a few and growing number of Iodine docs that could cure him. First they would test his Iodine levels. Something none of his "specialists" or even primary care physician has probably ever tested.

Iodine supplmentation would begin. As well as magnesium, selenium, Vit C, B Vitamins, unrefined salt, water. Lots of water. Fish oil.Protein. Fats. Those are the basics. Those will begin to heal the body.

The other day someone said to me:

"Cheryl this is an unsustainable generalisation. "that all those disorders have one cause.namely iodine deficiency.There are many theories of aetiology but to lay so many problems at the door of the thyroid I certainly would not accept."

I didnt lay it at the door of the thyroid.

The door is Iodine deficieny. Every function of the body is based on how much iodine is available. Dont have enough iodine and wherever there is not enough starts problems.

Every part of our bodies from skin to eyeballs use iodine in daily life. Not enough in the thyroid starts a myriad of problems. Not enough in the breast starts breast cysts and cancer. Depression, metabolic disorders all have their source at iodine deficiency. Not enough Iodine in the ovaries; cysts and cancer and lack of sexual hormones.

Not enough in the gut can create leaky gut, bacteria colonies and a hundred other ways bacteria and toxin arent kept in check creating a domino effect of mineral, vitamin and enzyme depletion which lead to Chrons, IBS, Depression, colon cancer, "bi-polar" disorder and hundreds of other symptoms.

Enough iodine and the thyroid is able to maintain metabolism working with the iodine sufficient digestive tract extracting nutrients and excreteing the rest efficently. Not enough iodine and a body craves so much food simply to extract the vitamins and minerals its iodine deficient body cant use. Iodine rich lungs purge themselves of invading toxins. As for exercise, the iodine sufficient body feels good enough to move, to get outside, to get out of bed.

Symptoms (disease) are just the voice of the iodine deficient body.

Two Intense Weeks

The last few weeks have been busy! I've made hundreds of jewels, built a rock fireplace as a gift to my son's hut, tried to answer in a timely manner each "where are my jewels" questions (Breathe there are 3 days left to receive), spent hours at the beads store and more hours dreaming of what I am going to make with the new gorgeous beads, i have taken some very big bags of mail to the post office (jewels can be heavy!) and all the other typical daily life necessities(laundry cooking and cleaning blah).

And now Gerald is home for a 10 day vacation from hectic Evergreen life, Daniel is enjoying school vacation (and so am i). I am going to create new jewels, wrap presents, make yummy food and just enjoy some slow paced life for a while.

A very good article about iodine was posted today on the Iodine Board. It puts in plain english the problem with iodine deficiency. Iodine deficiency really is the only pandemic facing humans today. And the best thing that happens with this pandemic cure is worldwide health. Spread the word, Iodine is real health care reform.

Lots of jewels to make today and hopefully for the next few weeks. Friday i was a day behind. And i hope to catch up today... Tis the season! Holiday jewels. I made myself the most adorable ladybug shadowbox. The dial is so pretty. I should have taken a picture of it!

No Fear

Since I started reading about and using Iodine there seems to be a common theme among the non believers. There are actually several different fears but the most common seems to be a fear of the Iodine itself. Most of us have lived in this modern medicine age where we have been mislead into thinking Iodine is something to be feared. The doctors tell us to be afraid of it. And we believe.

So i keep asking myself why. These same non believers will listen to their docs saying vaccines are safe when face it people vaccines are not safe. They are killing mankind, destroying our immune systems, but thats not what this thought is about.

Most of the fear can be traced to one tiny study. Nothing more nothing less. A substance that had been used for centurys, is required by every single cell of our bodies to function properly and is the strongest anti bacterial on the planet has been made into something nightmares are made of.

And that is so wrong.

The fear of iodine begain in 1948 and spread during the mid 50s, medical iodophobia has since spread to include some people who you think know about these things. Or should.

Ask yourself what motivates a person or a company to disregard such a fountain of life. Could it be greed? Iodine is fairly cheap. The myriad of drugs that doctors use to treat the symptoms of Iodine deficiency are not. Or could it be misplaced trust in a system one has studied under for 100 years? And just what what they are told?

Birthday Eve and My Gift

Twas the night before birthdays and all thru the house everyone is sleeping and mice arent quiet.

This time 21 years ago I was waiting anxiously for my birthday to arrive because it was also the baby's due date. I had no doubt Gerald would be born on that date since many months before the ultra sound predicted November 26th. I am very punctual.

I spent my 27th birthday in a hospital with pain and excitement and a few scarey moments. The gift I received that day is like no other. The joy from this gift has rippled thru my years creating the basis for all I do. He even brought me to jewels.

My gift wants to touch the world and I have no doubts he will.
Someday he will realize that he already has.

The boy who so earnestly asked at 3 to go to Hollywood has held onto that dream and in the years to come my most cherished gift will reach into the lives of others, changing them with his, his words and his images and I can only smile at how special that is.

The AMAs and Cooking and Birthdays

I had wanted to write about the AMAs yesterday but Blogger kept giving me an error. Seems fixed now. Adam Lambert's performance was great. The way he gets into a song. Magical vocals. The live version even better than the album. He just gets more perfect.

Lady Gaga gave another and unique version of Bad Romance and i loved it all over again. When she went into Speechless, a song i have never heard, i got what I had wanted to hear. In other songs, Amidst all the electric i had glimpsd incredible vocals. And For Speechless her pure voice is wonderful. The lyrics a message. I need the Fame Monster.

Daughtry gave a beautiful performance, too. And Kelly Clarkson. And some were like nails on a chalkboard. More than a few songs with excellent lyrics if only they had a voice.

I would love to see an Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga video. Any song. They have the talent and vocals to perform anything. And leave you wanting more...

The holidays have begun. Lots of jewels to make and food. Thanksgiving's past I cook. Alot. This year I am not motivated yet at all. One reason is because Gerald and I's birthday falls on Thanksgiving day. I can think of better things to do than cook all day on my birthday. A trip to the beach. The Great Wolf Lodge. Las Vegas. Hollywood. I do like cooking thanksgiving dinner, just not on my birthday.

My Gerald almost 21 ... years go so fast.

I could however create new jewels all day since all Gerald wants to do is be alone in his Hut. Creating jewels is always fun :-)

Went to get Gerald in the wind & rain storm and he is now safely ensconced in his Hut. And I am about to create jewels. Got some really pretty movements yesterday and already made a few new creations that are waiting for pictures.

It's trying to be sunny tho and it has rained for about a month now so if the sun does make an appearance i might have to go outside a while. Soak up some D.

20 minutes in sunshine is your RDA of D, if you dont get the sun better take the pill. Not the typical mainsteam RDA, cause thats barely enough to keep an amoeba alive, but the actual amount a person needs to be healthy and make everything else work right, too.

Iodine, Selenium, Magnesium, D, C,Pink Salt, Protein and Water: give that to your poor, your hungry, your sick your tired, your young your old and this planets humans wouldnt be in the worldwide poor health facing us today.

Is anyone really healthy ? The sheer numbers of health related problems are staggering. 20 million adults and children with asthma. 30 million with Diabetes. 40.5 million with high blood pressure, 26 million deaths from broken hearts. and 70% of us are overweight or obese. 20 million with thyroid related disease. New and "pandemic" virus. And sooo much more illness. Anyone see a pattern?

We arent healthy.

You can thank the health care system as we know it. Vaccines have obliterated humans immune systems, created antibodies to our bodies, displaced our iodine, created bodies perfect for harboring bacteria, yeast, fungi and virus.

And why does no one ever ask where the .25 x 6 Billion milligrams of mercury gets excreted to from each injection of flu vaccine?

At least for the lucky 90% that can actually excrete it. The lucky 10 get to keep it in their bodies to create further illness. Thats a guess, the numbers may be higher. The powers that be wont admit anyone does, nor that its bad, really bad.

Long Night

Last night Power went out at my house, semi major windstorm. 10pm, just when CSI Miami was to start. It was not fun. Daniel just really doesnt get the concept of NO Power. I suppose he thinks i am being evil not allowing his tv or lights. Or, he cant lose the thought that mom can fix anything. I can typically fix anything. Power outages arent one of them. Makes me want a generator. There is not much as sad as a weeping screaming boy who just wants mom to fix his things.

I left him to his room, lit by a very good tripod flashlight, with his talking toys and books and his wailing cries. I Fell asleep. 130am the power came on. And all the lights. Daniel had turned them all on. And there in his bed the smiling boy who must have thought mom finally fixed it. Happy again in the light and the movies he so loves playing finally.

If only the all the fixes of this world were so easy.

Tomorrow is a mass vaccine campaigned at Daniels school. He wont be going. The h1n1 will be in the air to infect all that are there, and I dont want him exposed to the vaccine(if i can help it and it wasnt the one he had last week). The h1n1 vaccine will no doubtedly infect people even if they dont get the vaccine. Similiar to what happened to Gerald when Evergreen had their mass vaccination.

His aide and sped teacher will both be getting the vaccine, so they will be exhaling droplets of it for days. Longer if they get sick. I hope they dont get sick. I get such a horrid icky feeling when people tell me they are getting that vaccine. They really have no clue what they are doing to their bodies. Its very sad.

It has to be the biggest scam of our time. Worth 25 billion... And people are standing in line, similar to invasion of the body snatchers, they have been lead to believe its the only thing that will save them when it just might be the thing that kills them. Or disables them for life.

Good luck to the naive humans that really just dont get it....

I listed new jewels today and have more to list. But the urge to make them is starting to take over again. But first, HOUSE is on in 10 minutes. Still my favorite show, but Criminal Minds is slowly but surely edging into it and CSI....

And I am totally addicted to Lady Gaga and Bad Romance. That song is so cool. Just makes me wanna dance ... Just 6 more days till Adam Lambert's debut album and Gerald coming home for the holidays. YAY...

FLU Bugs, Jewels And Daniels Voice

Today Daniel is missing another day of school. The flu has really knocked him down. But today does seem to be a day of recovery. He is up and doing his Daniel things.

I have been expecting to get the flu. Think I may have gotten it or tried to get it. Had some symptoms. Sore throat (knocked out by gargling with iodine and water) and a funny rash on my ankle with imflammation and difficulty walking or even standing on it. Which kept me from making jewels at one point! THE HORROR!

Speaking of Daniel things, I am on a mission to get Daniel a voice. The new Vantage Lite is the ACC device that he has needed for the last 13 years.

Ok this device is totally new but over the years it is similar to what I would have liked to see him be provided with. What I know he needed yet never gets. Combined with the LAMP method of learning the device (and those around him learning how to use it) I believe Daniel will finally be able to express himself "verbally". He needs this.

I demo'd the software and never experienced anything like it. He has had devices before. The one at home goes thru batteries faster than I can change them. And is limited to 16 words. The ones at school were either never implemented or were too complicated for even the staff to implement. I said were because they chose to abandon the usage of an communication device because it was too complicated (of course they didnt say that, their reasoning is HE cant use it, never mind he CAN use it at home).

And they didnt have the LAMP method either...

So now that I have found Daniels voice I have to figure out how to give it to him. These are expensive and I am not rich, so figuring out funding is an issue.

I would submit to us being test subjects to get this device. Cant really rob a bank. Jewel Fundraiser with all proceeds benefitting Daniels Voice? Possibility.

But since Daniel is disabled and there is this thing called the IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Act) the school district has responsibility to provide this device. So, I went my usual route asking the School District to provide Daniel with the Vantage Lite.(with the mistaken impression that they too would see the promise of this device) Funny how i always forget how these things go.

First, flat out denial.

Next, oh we didnt deny it(after I had the audacity to question their denial), we just have to evaluate and think about it (typically a months long process) and have a team meeting to which of course your input is taken into consideration (in my dreams).

Then (months later): We have thought about it and think the best action is to continue to use the method and pecs on a ring that lets Daniel use 10 words.

It is the easy thing to do.

Ultimatly, many months later after going thru Due Process and hopefully proving to a judge that the device is needed, more time spent filling out the forms to buy it. Finally training and hope it doesnt become a dust collector.

Imagine trying to communicate silently to the world with 10 words. Could You do it?

I think i avoid blogging because i find it difficult to think of new things to say about jewels that I dont put in my listings. Every new creation I list is like writing a blog! Ok maybe it isnt!

Writing about jewels beyond that has always been like a chore left to last. I much prefer creating the jewels. It IS my passion. I could spend most every hour of every day creating new jewels. While listening to Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga.

My other passion is also what keeps me from blogging here. I created the blog as an extension of me and my jewels with an intent to share my passion. My jewels are me. But writing about the jewels has been a problem because when i think about blogging or something to write, I want to write about Iodine.

Iodine is the cure for every disease. Our lack of iodine and ability to use it is the root cause of all disease. Vaccines are the cause of this deficiency.

My other passion. I want to tell every person on this planet they do not have to be sick. This is what I want to write about. To share with the world. This is what is most important.

So to that end I suppose I could create a new blog,so i could write on many topics, but i have this one. Creating a new blog is alot of work I dont have time for! And as Jewels By Nature is an extension of me, it is not all of me, so feel I shouldnt limit my topics.

So the topics of my blog may or may not be about jewels from now on. I suspect if i can become a blogger, and no promises it wont be a year until my next blog ;-) my writings will be more about Iodine, autism, music and the many more extensions of me, and of course, jewels.

As I was signing into today I wasnt even sure how long it had been since i blogged. A year. Oh well, a blogger I am not, I try sometimes. Mostly I just like to make jewels! I am only blogging today because I needed some room to tell a story about my holiday jewel experience.

I managed to send out 287 orders during this ordeal. Much thanks to those that purchased my creations. Sorry to say that I messed up on 6 orders myself(ok maybe 1 or 2 more) I admit, all my doing! The post office lost 7, only 2 now found. Not bad out of so many unless you are one of the ones who didnt get to give their gift or wear their jewels. For those I truly apologize for the problems with your orders. I tried my best to get everything meticulously made and out in a timely manner and for the most part I succeeded. For some I didn't, and know that I do feel bad your order failed to arrive in time. The patience and understanding from most was much appreciated in this trying time.

December began so nicely, little did i know it was the calm before many storms. The 2nd week of December my son got the flu (and missed school for a week). Autism and being really sick doesn't go together even under the best of circumstances. Then he gave me the flu. And it was a week long knock you on your butt kinda flu!!! It put Daniels behavior in a whole new perspective!!! Raised the empathy factor alot. The next week is when the snow began.

The first day was so beautiful! Then Record snowfall for 3 weeks solid. Wake up to new snow daily (sounds so pretty doesn't it!). No school. As of today Daniel has been out of school for 5 weeks ...Getting around town was hazardous! Piles and Piles of snow!

During the next 2 weeks we actually had snowfall of about 8 feet but there was some melting (Not MUCH!). We had 5ft+ high drifts from roof snow removal all around the house. On each side of the driveway were 5ft piles from daily shoveling so I could get to the post office.The silky white landscape was 3ft deep. It was such a sight!!!! Not one I am use to seeing around here.

If you have never lived in snow you cant imagine the amount of shoveling involved to just get out of my 1/4 mile driveway. I am so ready to move to a tropical island....

Just as everyone was tired of the snow and work involved in maintaining normalcy came the 16" of rain in a 12 hour period. All this water on top of the 5 feet accumulation of snow.

Imagine the acrtic where all the ice floats in the serene blue water. Except this water, along with the big ice chunks, was sand and muck full of debri, moving fast and growing higher by the minute. The town of Morton was deluged by water from the mountains that surround us on all sides. The wintery landscape became one of muddy destruction all within an hour. With people trying desperately to save their houses and animals and selves.

Outside my door the water started to rise. The slow meandering creek that borders the house became a raging river. Spilling its banks changing course thru my driveway creating paths it wasn't meant to have. The 2 neighbors houses below me and mine were all in danger of becoming part of the ever increasing water flow. The water took all the driveway gravel and left 4" of sand. I was afraid the entire hillside would come tumbling down as it had further along my hillside. Just about a 1000ft from me water poured thru the neighbors barn only 20 ft from their house. All that mudd and trees crashed onto the main road and pasteur below. This scene was repeated on more than 50 other hillsides and creeksides thruout this town and many more beyond. The entire county and parts of the state are a disaster area. Some are still being rescused from water filled streets.

Thankfully we were able to build a dam on our creek and truck in some rock to get the creek(raging river) back on course and saved the houses. Once the water receded the landscape was eerie. Resembling nothing of its former order. Nor of the wintery landscape of the last 3 weeks. Some of the piles of snow remain. The creek is back to a gently flowing pace. Amazing the new path it created.

The experience of Getting my oldest son back to Evergreen State College (much to his relief) in the snow is yet another exciting snow shoveling, wheel gripping, anxiety producing experience worthy of its own blog entry or a short novel. Now things are beginning to get back to normal. I have been making new jewels, many unique creations, and hope to get pictures done as soon as I finish here. Tho I may go watch the golden globes instead. I think I am still in recovery mode.

My final thought for this blog entry is that the December holiday season shouldn't coincide with the flu, 500 year record snowfall or 100 yr floods OR school closures.

But that's life isn't it.
We cant choose our path the way the river did, we are just along for the ride.

Angelite Gemstones

Angelite semi precious gemstones are my new favorite rock. Ok, the blue african jasper might be tied for that position but Angelite is perhaps the softest looking gemstone I think I have ever seen.

It is such a powdery look to it. If a cloud were blue then that would describe these stones. They are exquisite!

Angelite is believed to enhance telepathic powers and bring the wearers closer together thru the mind. And to communicate with angels and how it got its name.

It is a fairly rare stone that was a million years in the making.

For inner harmony and to help bring a sense of oneness to yourself and those around you, try some Angelite.

Long time no Blog

It has been a busy 6 weeks since my last blog. I am really going to try to post more often things have just been hectic and not enough time to do much except create jewels and mail them out. It has also been a time of beautiful creations, a cherished son returning home from college, birthdays, a supreme court IDEA case, and the never ending and fun search for unique and beautiful jewelry components.

I made what I feel to be such a stunning piece. I call it the Nonagenarian because the glass jewel is 90 years old. It is a really lovely piece.

I have also been making cameo necklaces. I found some really pretty ones that are new and some awesome ones that are antique. That is the new one of my favorites. The butterfly cameos are exquisite.

I have not designed with the next one, I hope to get them soon. Been waiting impatiently for their delivery!

Going out to get a Christmas tree today. It has seemed odd to not have one yet. We typically get one the day after Thanksgiving but this year my son asked me to wait for him to come back home since he is on the decorating committee. So I waited. It will probably seem a lot more like christmas once the scent of the evergreen tree fills the air and the twinkling lights make my other son's face light up with the wonderment of the spectacle.

A joyous time of year. Blessings for good tidings to be had by all.

Brass Filigrees

I have obtained quite a few brass filigrees and I am in the process of creating with them. I have posted a few. This is one of my favorites:

And I have finally learned how to get a nice aged look to the brass without chemicals or a lengthy process. The brass has such a nice sheen to it. I still like some of the oxidized brass I get from one supplier. Mostly because I like the shape of the filigree. This flowery filigree is one of my favorites.

Prices and Jadeite

I had an intersting "convo" - shortand for the conversation feature at etsy, basically an internal email system. This person convoed (is that a word) me and said that she wanted to buy some things but was scared because my prices were "by far much lower than other filigree artisans" (her words).

Well my first reaction was to be the snark I am and say I could make them higher if she would like. Instead I just answered that I base my prices on the cost of the matterals and how much time it takes me to make a piece. I guess I don't really get this. I mean you go to Target and see an item and you go to Walmart and they have the same Item for less do you question it ? Or do you say YAY and buy it saving some bucks? Or do you go back to Target so you can spend more for the item?

Granted the items aren't exactly the same in this instance, but I do make a quality product, using only quality components and since my pictures now reflect this even more (YAY) I suppose this will remain a mystery to me unless of course I inflate my prices or raise my per hourly wage :-) For now I am happy with what I make in both workmanship and price.

She didn't end up buying from me....

Another convo was informing the about a piece I had made using Jadeite. Telling me it wasn't jadeite but perhaps Nephrite. Was very informational tho, and I do like to know what stones I am using. The mystery of the stone is still a mystery however. The wholesaler insists it is Jadeite. He also sells Nephrite and does usually know his stones so short of a geological testing I have no idea who is right. The person who informed me tho did seem fairly knowledgable. Maybe I will keep it Jadeite with a Nephrite disclaimer ;-)

I love my Camera !

It is easy to use and the pics are awesome ! I have been so obssessed with taking pictures (and editing pictures) that i forgot to blog ! (Like I need an excuse).

I have redone about 1/3 of the pictures and the difference is amazing !

Maybe once I am done I can focus my attention on the blog. Or cleaning out my pool. Or making new jewels (ok I have still been making new ones, thats my biggest obesssion).

Back to the camera and editing !

It has been a ruff week after taking my son to college. Hard to believe only a week has passed... he is having the time of his life, loves Evergreen and is thoroughly enjoying the social aspects of it. Since he took my camera or should I say HIS camera to school with him it forced me to get a new one.

I asked the people at Etsy to post what camera they use so I could get an idea of the pics produced and decided on a Canon SD1000. This camera produced BY FAR the best pictures of anyone's that posted. The photos are crisp and clean and not a blur to be had. I even got a really great deal on one at Ebay ... yes I love Ebay !!!

Will be a major improvement in the jewel pictures!!! I can't wait to get it ! Will be nice to take pictures and not face dissappointment over the quality of photos. It is pretty sad to create a piece of lovely jewels then have the camera demolish that beauty, but that won't happen anymore ! And I hope the better quality pictures produce more sales, too ! It is such a nice feeling knowing someone is wearing what I think are beautiful jewels that I created.

IN the meantime got some new glass and some new czech beads that I am looking forward to creating with. This week hasn't been a good one for creativity but I can slowly feel that urge coming back! The ideas for new jewels are itching to be made into reality again.

And that urge to make glass beads is still burning strong, plan to work on learning that, too! So much to do, so little time.....

Distractions

I have a good excuse this time for not blogging lol

My son leaves for college tomorrow and It's been hectic to say the least getting him ready. I have made a few new things, listed some on etsy and have alot more list. I had wanted to get more pictures done today but the weather hasn't cooperated. I will have to get a new camera now that Gerald is taking his to college !

Today is a day of mixed emotions. I go from crying to almost giddyness.

Gerald and I leave in the morning to take him to Evergreen State College.
I will be coming back alone.

I hate to see him go, feels at moments the most unbearable thing I have had to face, even worse than autism. At other times I am just so pleased and proud he gets the opportunity to have a decent education, meet new people and experience dorm life and life in general outside the 4 walls of this tiny little town.

I know I will miss him greatly. He is not only my son, he is my friend. And my jewelry critic !

He has become a man I am proud of and I want for him only good things in life because he truly deserves to have great things happen to him. He is one of a kind. A compassionate loving soul like no other.

So tomorrow after almost 19 years my son will be going it alone, as will I....

Ok I have been a bad blogger again, been almost a week, what can I say, I just get busy and forget !

Today I hope to snag another treasury. Yeah I am a bit addicted to the whole treasury thing. Kinda like winning the lottery but no cash. OK that doesn't make alot of sense but perhaps its relateable.

I would really like to learn to make fused glass with metal jewelry. I think I need a blow torch....kinda scarey me with a blow torch. I have seen some really cute jewelry where they take things and put them behind glass and put silver around them. I would like to put brass around them since it's my favorite metal but haven't researched it yet to see if such a thing can be done. Not even sure what the melting point of brass is. But I will find out and get a torch and see if I can't create these little things i have in mind.

It has been 5 days since my last blog. Yes I know that means I wont win the best blogger award. Or even runner up. I just don't know what to say on these things. I am a creator of tangible things not a writer of words, so it is very difficult to write anything.

I have been making more lovelys. A really pretty vintage glass amethyst filigree necklace with some cool not sure what you would call them lampwork type beads. Here is a sneak preview (pics are being elusive because there is no sun until i come back inside)

New Jewels

I made several new pieces yesterday but the weather is not cooperating with taking pictures ! ARRRGH

I have these 40mm blue 6 sided pieces of glass that I created a design with. They are so amazingly beautiful ! I can't wait to take the pictures. Just hoping for some sunshine today!

I also made this really cool wire type necklace with brass filigree and a 30x22mm smokey topaz vintage glass. It was really hard getting all the "links" to be exact but it turned out nicely even tho it means I probably worked for $1 an hour lol

I think I am going to get lucky with sunshine today, its peaking out now. SO look for new pics soon !

Cloudy and rainy so I couldnt take pics. Was thinking tho that since I learned how to use the camera my photo box and lights would work. I had tried them before in the house and they just didnt pop. But now, hmmmmmmmm

Lots of rainy days here in WA i might need to try the box again !

Havent made any new pieces since before Jubilee, but may start working on more in a few days after I get the new stuff :-)

I learned the tricks of the camera !

Wish I had learned it about 3000 pics ago but better late than never, right?

My son actually taught me that my camera does have a macro ! lol SO I have to go back and retake all new pics. The new stuff I have listed show the new and improved pictures, but the older listings have the blurry terrible ones. Also means I am going to have to remake a few items that I sold at jubilee. The concept of one of a kind is becoming more appealing :-)

Hopefully with better pics I can nabbed that elusive first Etsy sale!

Jubilee is over !

It was a fun, exhausting 4 days. I did pretty good money wise and excellent self esteem wise....lots of compliments and wows about my jewelry creations so I felt pretty good. We had good weather on Friday and Saturday but overcast skies and rain by afternoon on Sunday, no fun and no crowd that day.

I got several compliments on my booth, too. Which was a homemade - or would that be handmade ;-) creation rather than the typical pop up style tent awning that most vendors had. I forgot my camera the first 3 days to take pics and actually forgot it the 4th day but I called to have my husband bring the camera when he picked me up later in the day. Except OOPS I had started putting everything away before I remembered I wanted pics. But here are 2 pics. 2 of the displays were actually out in front and they were a bit more full the first day. It was really a makeshift setup, but it served me well and people liked it so all in all it wasnt a bad thing. And considering I will never do Jubilee again it served its purpose.

Yes you heard that right, this was my first and last jubilee experience. The crowd was more into $2 jewels rather than quality (and might not a known the difference). One man made a comment that was interesting. He said " I see you handcrafting your jewelry and the other jewelry sellers unpack theirs from china, and it shows. You make really unique pieces and have good craftmanship". That really made my day!!!!

So it is over and it was a learning experience as well as an uplifting experience and now its time to take pictures of my new stuff, list it on Etsy and promote my jewels so that I can buy more beads .....

But first a nap might be nice :-)

3 Days Till Jubilee !

Loggers Jubilee

I have 10 days to get ready for Loggers Jubilee and I am workin hard makin jewels !

Loggers Jubilee is something that usually irritates me because when over 100,000 people come into this small town it makes for some traffic jams ! But this year will be my first time I set up a booth and sell my jewels so come on people ! lol

It still amazes me that someone has come as from as far as Autstralia just for a lawnmower race, but it has happened! And many many more come from all over america just to race their mowers. These are not your typical mowers, I assure you! I can hear some of them at my house a mile away from the race !

Seems I need a blog, so here it is ! I will post new items I have made and talk about jewels. I have become obsessed with making jewels, I love semi-precious gemstones, beads, vintage glass, brass ~ filigree and all the little things that go into making a jewelry work of art. I have 600 pieces of vintage glass I am about to have fun with, can't wait for it to get here !
